Body Wise Therapies OK is a company that believes that the body is WISE and capable of healing itself.  We simply provide the "tools" (aka therapies) for the body to restore balance and begin the process of healing that is already present.

 

Body Wise Therapies OK is owned by Renee Lappin.  Any true clinic cannot offer exceptional care with only one person, so there are a few others who work within the clinic making it an "our" place!  These extras provide other skills and therapies that compliment our traditional therapies listed here.  (Look HERE to see a list of "other providers").

 

Our therapies include massage therapy, acupuncture, TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Holistic Health Nutritional Consultations, Cupping, and so much more! We have found that the body has an innate system for restoring balance and healing.  You can most certainly find OTHER clinics that offer the same therapies, but at Body Wise Therapies, we usually combine several therapies in ONE visit thereby allowing for an amazingly powerful and effective treatment outcome almost unseen or experienced at other places.  Our clientele express a profoundly DEEP level of healing, stress reduction, and continued care that gives them the comfort to share extended levels of details in needed healthcare deficiencies.

 

Another item that makes Body Wise Therapies so unique is our approach to YOU the CLIENT (NOT the patient).  A client is someone we develop a holistic relationship with that is RARELY seen in the traditional "practitioner/patient" relationship.  We see YOU as a WHOLE person, not a compartmentalized body....this means we see every system as it relates to the OTHERS in a holistic approach.  Obviously the body wouldn't function without the stomach, so WHY should we approach the stomach separate from how it affects the rest of the body?  Your body certainly wouldn't work well without a bowel, so again, how can we look at it as being completely separate from the rest of the body?  YOU are a group of systems that, when in balance, work together to keep you healthy and well functioning.

 

From a business standpoint, we also see our client's ability (or inability) to pay as a part of WHO they are as a whole as well!  We are, to our knowledge, the ONLY clinic with a standing "hardship waiver" form for low/no income families to fill out.  In addition to this, we have a COMPLETELY unique program we developed (we've never seen in ANY clinic) known as "Adopt-A-Client".  We encourage you to go by and find out more about this wonderful program.  Many years ago, communities would go out of their way to help out a neighbor who needed care in any way.  It might be a new barn built, or help selling/trading goods for services in order to get care, even more prominent members of the community paying part or entire bills for someone who could not either pay most or any of the bill at all!  We have "revived" this community care format through our "Adopt-A-Client" program.

 

Finally, a bit about Renee Lappin. Renee started doing massages at a very young age. After getting married, raising a family, she went back to school and gained skills as an acupuncturist, Holistic Health Nutritional Consultant and is currently enrolled in the Barefoot Doctor's Course at OHAI (Oklahoma Healing Arts Institute) in Oklahoma City under the instruction of Scott Rigsbee.  She has plans to continue her education to include advanced study in acupuncture and eventually complete an apprenticeship in acupuncture as well.  When Renee isn't healing others with her alternative health skills you can usually find her in the recording studio or on a stage touching lives with her music and skills as an award winning gospel/Christian singer/songwriter.  You can find her music here.
